Jambmaths question:
The nth term of two sequences are ${{Q}_{n}}=3\cdot {{2}^{n+2}}$ and ${{U}_{m}}=3\cdot {{2}^{2m-3}}$. Find the product of Q2 and U2
Option A:
18
Option B:
12
Option C:
6
Option D:
3
Jamb Maths Solution:
$\begin{align} & {{Q}_{n}}=3\cdot {{2}^{n-2}} \\ & {{Q}_{2}}=3\cdot {{2}^{2-2}}=3\cdot 1=3 \\ & {{U}_{n}}=3\cdot {{2}^{2m-3}} \\ & {{U}_{2}}=3\cdot {{2}^{2(2)-3}}=3\cdot 2=6 \\ & {{Q}_{2}}\cdot {{U}_{2}}=3\cdot 6=18 \\\end{align}$
