Jambmaths question:
The probability of a student passing any examination is $\tfrac{2}{3}$.If the student takes three examinations. What is the probability that he will not pass any of them?
Jamb Maths Solution:
Prob of failing = 1 –$\tfrac{2}{3}$= $\tfrac{1}{3}$
Prob of failing all the three papers (or exams) =$\frac{1}{3}\times \frac{1}{3}\times \frac{1}{3}=\frac{1}{27}$
