The distribution above shows the number of days a group of 260 students were absent from school in a particular term. How many students were absent for at least four days in the term?
Jamb Maths Solution:
Total number of student
$260=20+2x+60+40+x+50$
$260=170+3x$
$x=30$
No of student absent for at least four days =
No of students absent for 4 days + No of students absent for 5 days + No of students absent for 6 days
=40 + x + 50 = 40 + 30 + 50 =120
